Summary

Ursula K. Le Guin follows the physicist Shevek, who travels from the austere anarchist moon Anarres to the wealthy capitalist world Urras in hope of sharing a revolutionary theory of time. The narrative alternates between the two societies to examine freedom, scarcity, and the compromises of any political system.
