Bram Stoker Award Best Novel Winner

Ararat

by Christopher Golden

Summary

An earthquake on Mount Ararat in Turkey exposes a cave containing an ancient ship that may be Noah's Ark, and an international team races to study it before rivals and the weather close in. Inside the hull they find a sealed coffin holding a horned, demonic corpse, and once it is disturbed an ancient evil begins turning the trapped expedition against one another. Golden combines mountaineering survival, archaeological mystery, and demonic possession into a fast moving thriller about faith colliding with something far older than scripture.
